I've done a lot of work on this painting over the weekend. Still not quite done, but close. Engraved into the
painting is this comment about the "white man" made by Speckled Snake in 1829: "With a
step he bestrode the mountains, and his feet covered the plains
and the valleys. His hands grasped the eastern and western sea, and his
head rested on the moon."

Ghost Ranch...
So far all are 12" X 12" or 9" X 12"...
All done in and around Ghost Ranch between March 16, & March 29, 2015.
All of the small Ghost Ranch paintings now have elegant, black wood, shadow box frames.
They look wonderful, I must say.
